About the Case Converter

The Case Converter changes the capitalisation of your text instantly. Fix a paragraph typed with caps lock on, format a headline in title case, or convert a phrase into the style programmers use for names of variables and files.

Paste your text, press a button and copy the result.

How to use the Case Converter

  1. Type or paste your text into the box.
  2. Press the button for the case you want.
  3. Check the converted text, which replaces the original in the box.
  4. Press Copy text to copy it to your clipboard.

How it works

Uppercase and lowercase change every letter. Title case capitalises the first letter of each word. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and makes the rest lowercase. For camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case the tool splits your text into words, removes punctuation and joins the words in the chosen style.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between title case and sentence case?

Title case capitalises every word, as in a book title. Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence, as in normal writing.

What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case used for?

They are naming styles used in programming and web addresses. camelCase joins words with capitals, snake_case joins them with underscores, and kebab-case with hyphens.

Can I undo a conversion?

Press Undo to go back one step. The tool does not keep the text after you close the page.
