About the Merge PDF
Merge PDF joins two or more PDF files into a single document. It is useful for combining scanned pages, assembling an application package, putting invoices together or building one file from separate chapters.
Add your files, move them into the order you want and download the merged PDF in one click. There is no limit on the number of merges and no account is needed.
How to use the Merge PDF
- Choose your PDF files or drag them onto the box.
- Use the arrow buttons to put the files in the right order, or remove any you do not need.
- Press Merge PDFs.
- Download the combined file.
How it works
The tool opens each PDF in your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library, copies every page in the order shown and writes them into a new PDF. The original files are not changed.
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password in a PDF viewer first.
Your files stay private
This tool works entirely inside your browser. The files you choose are read and processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers, so your documents and pictures remain private.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on file size?
There is no fixed limit, but very large files depend on your device’s memory. If your browser slows down, merge fewer files at a time.
Will the merged PDF keep my links and formatting?
Page content, text and images are kept. Some features that span the whole document, such as bookmarks and form fields, may not carry over.
Why can I not merge my PDF?
The file may be password protected or damaged. Open it in a PDF viewer, save an unprotected copy and try again.
