About the Split PDF

Split PDF lets you take a document apart. Extract just the pages you need into a new file, delete pages you want to get rid of, or split the whole document so that every page becomes its own PDF.

It is handy for sending one section of a long report, removing a blank or confidential page, or sharing a single page of a scan.

How to use the Split PDF

  1. Choose a PDF file. The page count appears once it is loaded.
  2. Choose a mode: extract pages, remove pages, or split every page.
  3. For extract and remove, type the pages, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  4. Press Create PDF and download your file. Splitting every page gives a ZIP file.

How it works

The tool reads the PDF in your browser, copies the pages you selected into a new document and saves it. Pages are included in the order you type them, so 3, 1, 2 produces a document that starts with page 3.

Your files stay private

This tool works entirely inside your browser. The files you choose are read and processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers, so your documents and pictures remain private.

Can I split a protected PDF?

Does the original file change?
